We called it back in 1999. The demise of the CD as a format for music.

You don't suppose the record label parasites will lower the cost of their CDs do you?

Tower Records, like the Twin Towers, lies in rubble, the victim of corporate greed and stupid white men who Don't Get It.

As artists are "fired" by labels (they weren't really employees to begin with), a massive amount of talent has been added to the market, making live venues bigger cash cows than ever.

Artists have no choice but to produce their own music and sell it on the Internet.

Huge opportunity.

First off congrats on a wicked plugin, however I have a few feature requests which I think would be pretty cool:

Set media dir: Allow the user to set a path (ie D:\MP3s) where all the media files are stored so on the 'Open file or list' page it shows all files from that path instead of all drives on the computer

Remove file from playlist: Icon next to each item in playlist which removes the file from the list

It was a rights issue, i just removed

from around some of the imagemap code in fsnowcrashcontrols.xsl. That seemed to be preventing that code from from being sent to my device even though I have the rights set up properly in roles.cfg (i think).

My roles.cfg:

Maybe this modification circumvents the security in the program, but at least it works now!

I am trying to use this on Toshiba pocketpc e740 with PocketPC2002 and can't click any links except add button. Wierd, I changed some links to text and they work. Must be a problem with imagemap?

In the configuration page of Snowcrash (and in the plugin config in Winamp), you can set your default server directory and file...
Isn't it working fine?

Is your project still on the go?

Heh! Sorry but I did not remember that "you were able to access Winamp from your cell"...
I guess what you meant is that you want to be able to "add files and folders" and change the configuration? Are you able to play/pause/stop/etc ?

I'm also working on it.

Hi!
I succeeded at controlling Winamp from my cell phone...
All you have to do is replace some files in the Winamp\plugins\html folder and change 1 setting in the snowcrash configuration... Then you sing up with some free WAP(html) server on the net that redirect the traffic to your server... (I would recommend tagtag.com... It's free and "tagtag" is really easy to type on a cell... ) This way, you can have a favourite in your cell, even if your "local server's" IP changed...
Even best, you sign up with an "Dynamic DNS" service (free of course), like no-ip.com or dyndns.org, to which your wml files are linked.

I guess you know it but still, remember that to run the WAP "server", you need Snowcrash already installed and functionnal...

Some files may/will need to be modified for your "local setup"...

I converted all the pages in .wml (wap) to be able to access Snowcrash from my cellphone... The only problem is that you need the WML MIME type in the server code and I don't know how to do it so it does not work. But if you find a way to have it work, reply here!

I can make the plug in to work. After the installation is finished it tells me it needs msxml. And The only thing I can find to downlaod from ms.com are service packs wich I installed and didn't make the plugin to work

this program is great, however, is it possible to give my cellphone full access? i can view the page and do everything from a browser on my phone. it just doesnt have any rights. Can i give it rights, whats its IP address??? thanks everyone
